Hello, I'm Jenny from South Korea.

I'm not sure how many non-native Korean speakers would see my blog but I'll keep writing my diaries in English.

My first post for this Dear. Diary series will be about "Typical Korean school lunches".

Basically, we have rice, soup and four side dishes.

Kimchi, which is traditional Korean food, is a representative Korean side dish for school lunch.

The soup on the picture above is called Miyeok-guk which is seaweed soup.

The soup is basically for birthday.

I do love Kimchi so I can literally eat any food just with Kimchi LOL.

Usually, Wednesday is the most exciting day for Korean kids cuz most of schools call Wednesday "No leftovers-day".

So popular menu like pork cutlets, fries and fried rice are served on Wednesday so that kids eat all the food without leftovers on Wednesday.

By not making lots of food waste, it's good for environment, right?

I would like to share typical Korean school lunches more often on my blog.

I also wanna hear any opinion about it from other countries.

Thanks for reading it :D
